Subject: Best festival set?
Subject: Best festival set?
When new monsoon left the stage around midnight this festival was officially kicked off. new monsoon had kicked ass! I felt it was one of the best new
...
monsoon sets I had seen at a festival. Was it the all time best? Who knows? It certainly is in the top few...to me.
I'm now listening to it for the first time since I watched it live. So far it stands up to my live experience. Tim Carbone (violin from Railroad Earth) sits in on more than a few songs. Tim and Jeff Miller always push each other to new heights when they play together. Slippery People and Blue Queen are good examples.
New Monsoon played Pink Floyd's "Pigs" near the end of the show. They nailed it! Freaking awesome.
The sound for this show was OK. The recording is good. It is not boomy as I was expecting. Performance is 5
Sound is 4
Worth the download.
